CenPoint CRM Phone Integration

CenPoint includes several CRM capabilities. One of these is the ability to open a contact / customer when you receive a phone call. Several phone systems allow you to open a specific URL when you receive a call and pass in a phone number to it to allow that program to open the contact / customer that called you.

To make this work with CenPoint, configure your phone system to launch the following URL when you receive a call:

https://portal.cenpoint.com/?contSearch=<<phoneNo>>

i.e. https://portal.cenpoint.com/?contSearch=8014786822

How your phone system designates how to insert the phone number will vary (i.e. may be [phone], <phoneNo>, %CallerNumber%, etc.)

Once that is configured, you will be able to quickly access the info you need for the calls that come in. Enjoy!

Example Integration - 3CX

In this example using the 3CX phone system, you would go to Settings → Integration → click Open Contact in Cutom CRM, and add the URL https://portal.cenpoint.com/?contSearch=%CallerNumber%

After configuring CenPoint in your phone system, if it's not launching in your browser, verify that your browser isn’t blocking pop-ups.

You might need to enable pop-ups for the CRM integration to function properly.

Example Integration -Ring Central

In this example using the Ring Central phone system, you would go to Settings → Phone → click launch external app or website for incoming calls

Click the Launch an external app or website when dropdown to select the situation in which you want to launch a specific app or website:

A call is answered

Enter a URL in the Enter command field or click the Browse icon to choose an application. Enter the supported parameters at the end of the path or URL, as needed.

Click the Test button to confirm the command or behavior you’ve set up.

Click Save
