Hello CenPoint, Goodbye QuickBooks!

Setting the Stage

CenPoint has built a business on solving office problems while increasing efficiency. The current accounting environment has created a hole in the market place and CenPoint is excited to announce that we have a great answer! The majority of our customers use QuickBooks. Over the past 3 years, QuickBooks has more than tripled their pricing while making a very hard push for everyone to migrate to their online version. We have had many calls from you, our customers, voicing your frustration. Either the migration process is difficult (or not possible in some scenarios) or the costs are much higher…all while having to learn an entirely different accounting program (that just happens to also be called QuickBooks). We already have many aspects of accounting software in CenPoint (like Invoicing, A/R, PO’s, etc.). ‘Why doesn’t CenPoint have A/P and other accounting functions?’ you ask. Well, with the new QuickBooks pricing and all the other frustration with QuickBooks, the window of opportunity has opened.

The Details

CenPoint is excited to announce that full accounting will be coming soon to CenPoint. We are adding new sections for:

• True journal entries
• Multiple checking accounts with Bank Reconciliations
• Check processing (with approval processes)
• Depreciation schedules
• PO’s that push to A/P
• Reporting, such as Income Statements, Company P&L, etc.
• Tightly integrated payroll
• Budgeting
• And more

Timeline

We anticipate releasing the new accounting package by end of year 2023. Additional functionality, like some reports, will follow shortly.

Payroll

CenPoint will be tightly integrating with a preferred nationwide payroll vendor. Integration means you approve payroll in CenPoint and the data is transmitted to the payroll vendor who processes the payroll then delivers back a record for each employee. This allows certified payroll to be automatically updated. We are hoping to use collective price negotiations, so the more of you that sign up, the cheaper the payroll costs will be for everyone. Payroll costs are not included in the CenPoint Accounting price and would be paid directly to the payroll vendor. If you would like us to consider your current payroll company, please let us know.

Pricing

CenPoint Accounting will be an addon to your current plan. No one will be required to add it. Pricing has not yet been set, but our target price is 175/mo. Exact pricing will be set closer to the release date.

Final Thoughts

CenPoint (one CentralPoint for all your data needs) is making a huge step forward to living up to its name. We will continue to support our current integration into several accounting packages (including QuickBooks) for those not wanting to add CenPoint Accounting to their current plan. But, boy oh boy, the integration will be clean and tight with CenPoint Accounting. True job costing will finally be possible. Remote office work will be possible. No duplicate entry. Efficiency like you’ve never experienced before. Like our customers say, “The more I do with CenPoint, the happier I get.”
