# Safari on iPhone Microphone Permissions

### Change local Settings (Try this first)

#### Step One

Click on the icon in the upper left corner of the screen (to the left of the web address). Then click the Ellipsis to open more options

#### Step Two

Scroll down and find the setting for “Microphone”.

Click on it and click ‘Allow’.

Then click ‘Done’ at the upper right corner of the screen

#### Step Three

Try and use the speech to text feature again. If you are still experiencing issues, please try the [Reset Safari Microphone Permissions](/v1/docs/safari-on-iphone-microphone-permissions#reset-safari-microphone-permissions) instructions below.

### Reset Safari Microphone Permissions (Try This Second)

#### Step One

Open Settings and click on ‘Apps’

#### Step Two

Find and click on the ‘Safari’ app

#### Step Three

Scroll down and click on the ‘Microphone’ setting

#### Step Four

Click the ‘Edit’ button in the upper right corner

#### Step Five

Select the website that has the words ‘cenpoint.com’ in it and click the red ‘Delete’ in the upper left corner.

#### Step Six

Now go to Cenpoint portal and try to use the speech to text feature.

A prompt should appear asking for permission to use the microphone.

Please click ‘Allow’ so that this feature may function smoothly.
