To map journal entries in CenPoint Payroll go to Reports → Time Cards and Payroll → CenPoint Payroll
A browser will launch with the sign in page for your payroll integration with CP Payroll
Log into your CenPoint Payroll account and go to Settings
Then go to Integration Hub
Choose Advanced for the Mapping type
Now you will need to map each item in the list.
*You can map more than one to the same GL account
Example: Salary earning expense and Hourly earnings expense may be mapped to the same GL account.
*You can map to an account, to a number, or a name. The name must match exactly so doing a copy/paste may be the best option.
*You must map each item, if you do not use or have an account to map to on that item you will type in a ‘fake account’ number.
Example: You do not use Tips expense, you will type in something like 99999, or -12345
Click Add mapping
You will add either the GL Number or the GL Name (not both)
In CenPoint go to More → List Management → Accounting → Chart of Accounts (GLCodes)
You will now match the Chart of Accounts in CenPoint to the mapping in CP Payroll
In CenPoint choose if you are going to map names or numbers. Once you pick you must be consistent and use only your choice to finish mapping in CP Payroll.
In this example we are going to use the Number.
Now in CP Payroll match up the GL Accounts that will correspond with the GL accounts in Everee
In our example we will continue to use the number for all the remaining GL’s that need to be mapped.
(If you were to use the name you would put that in instead of the number and continue using the name for the remainder of the GL’s that need to be mapped)
Stated above: You must map each item, if you do not use or have an account to map to on that item you will type in a ‘fake account’ number.
Example: You do not use Tips expense, you will type in something like 99999, or -12345
Imports a Journal Entry in CenPoint for Payroll
In CP Payroll go to Integration Hub and click Export
This will create an Excell export that you will need to save on your computer
In CenPoint go to CP Books→Other→Import Journal Entry
You will then Select your Excell file and map your Excell file to the fields on the CenPoint Import Journal Entry
After you have done this for the first time CenPoint then remembers the mapping, so you do not have to do it each time you import payroll.
