Safari on iPhone Microphone Permissions

Change local Settings (Try this first)

Step One

Click on the icon in the upper left corner of the screen (to the left of the web address). Then click the Ellipsis to open more options

Step Two

Scroll down and find the setting for “Microphone”.

Click on it and click ‘Allow’.

Then click ‘Done’ at the upper right corner of the screen

Step Three

Try and use the speech to text feature again. If you are still experiencing issues, please try the Reset Safari Microphone Permissions instructions below.

Reset Safari Microphone Permissions (Try This Second)

Step One

Open Settings and click on ‘Apps’

Step Two

Find and click on the ‘Safari’ app

Step Three

Scroll down and click on the ‘Microphone’ setting

Step Four

Click the ‘Edit’ button in the upper right corner

Step Five

Select the website that has the words ‘cenpoint.com’ in it and click the red ‘Delete’ in the upper left corner.

Step Six

Now go to Cenpoint portal and try to use the speech to text feature.

A prompt should appear asking for permission to use the microphone.

Please click ‘Allow’ so that this feature may function smoothly.
