Set Starting Balance on Bank Reconciliation

In CP Books go to Bank/CC Register and click Reconcile or go to Reconcile and click the ‘Add’ button.

If you are doing a reconciliation for an account in CP Books for the first time you will need to enter a starting balance.

Click Enter Starting Balance

Add your starting balance- the last statement amount you reconciled against, click OK

You now have a starting balance to reconcile against your current statement.

Delete a starting balance

Go to Reconcile in CP Books→ find the entry that says Starting Balance Entry→ Click the ellipsis next to the entry→ Click Delete

Once you delete a starting balance, when you back to reconcile again you will be asked for a new starting balance.
