Below are the instructions for setting up your install of CenPoint to connect with the CenPoint Mobile for Android app:
Local Configuration (client side)
- Make sure you are running the latest version of CenPoint. To do this select the “About” option on CenPoint’s top menu bar, then select Check for Updates.
- Contact your IT Team to open port 1533 for both TCP and UDP on your firewall (both TCP and UDP are required). This port must forward to your SQL server that hosts the CenPoint database.
OPTIONAL: You can add an additional security layer by setting IP filtering for the following IPs:
NOTE: List is subject to change at any time
23.88.165.243 (wsherriman.cenpoint.com)
149.28.247.199 (wsdallas1.cenpoint.com)
104.238.165.221 (wschicago1.cenpoint.com)
45.32.131.100 (wssanfran1.cenpoint.com)
207.148.11.182 (wspittsburgh.cenpoint.com)
144.202.60.162 (wschicago2.cenpoint.com)
45.32.225.101 (wssanfran2.cenpoint.com)
104.238.145.170 (wsdallas2.cenpoint.com)
144.202.60.32 (wschicago3.cenpoint.com)
107.191.55.104 (lnk.cenpoint.com)
66.135.22.208 (wsnewyork1.cenpoint.com)
This IS NOT required for CenPoint Mobile to connect and should ONLY be done if you understand IP Filtering.
- Ensure your android device has access to the internet through either WiFi or a Data Plan with your provider.
- Go the Google Play Store and search CenPoint mobile. Download and install CenPoint Mobile on your android mobile device.
- Determine your public IP address. To properly configure CenPoint Mobile we need to know your public IP address AND if your IP Address is Static or Dynamic. If it is Static we need to know what the IP Address is. If it is dynamic, we need to know who your dynamic dns provider is (e.g. gotdns.com, noip.com, etc) and the url to resolve (e.g. mycompany.gotdns.com, etc.). It may be best to contact your IT team for this information. Send this information in step 6.
CentralPoint Solutions Configuration (service side)
- Once the local configuration settings are in place and the app is installed, contact support at support@cenpoint.com to add the configuration settings on CentralPoint’s server and run connectivity tests.
Congrats! You are now ready to use the CenPoint Mobile App!
