When you enter an area without service, CenPoint will continue to allow you to work in the app, saving all changes locally on your phone. Once you have service again, your progress will automatically be pushed to the company database.

 

There are a few features that will not work in off-line mode listed below.

  • Text messages and phone calls: it may go without saying, but without service you will not be able to text or call, so these links will not work in the app, and the text messages the customer normally gets when you start driving, arrive, and depart will not be sent.
  • Office View: the 'Office View' side of the mobile app (only available to users with a full licence) will not be available in Off-line Mode.
  • Office Updates: if the office adds to or updates your schedule while off-line, these updates will not be seen until the phone receives service again.
  • Credit card payments: while off-line you will not be able to process credit card payments in the field, since we cannot connect with the credit card processing service.
  • Parts and materials: your inventory is too large to constantly update in preparation for off-line mode, and can become out of date quickly, so you will not be able to add parts and materials to a Field Ticket while in off-line mode.
